JESUS IS PHENOMENAL! What does that word really mean? It refers to someone of exceptional ability or talent. Someone in a class by Himself. How do we know this?
The scriptures bear this out. Look at the many terms used to describe Him and you see that He was awesome and breathtaking. The effect that He had on those who encountered Him is amazing. No man has ever affected humanity the way He did.
Lets look at an example:
“And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute? He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers? Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free. Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee. ” Matthew 17:24-27 KJV
Jesus gives Peter a simple solution to a money problem; with a supernatural twist.
Peter made his living as a fisherman. Jesus’ solutions will always use our abilities but the end result reflects His touch. Peter is accustomed to making money selling fish but never found money in the fish. This is phenomenal!
This solution cuts out the difficulty and cuts right to the chase. God uses our abilities, but adds His extra touch. Doesn’t the Word say that He is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond what we ask or think?
