A teaching by Rev. Barbara Williams, President of the Ministry of the Watchman International
Week of October 7-11, 2024
This week we will examine the bigness of God. He is Lord of all.
MONDAY
So the Lord gave to Israel all the land of which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they took possession of it and dwelt in it. The Lord gave them rest all around, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers. And not a man of all their enemies stood against them; the Lord delivered all their enemies into their hand. Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.
Joshua 21:43-45
This scripture lets us know that Jesus is Lord of all events. Before the children of Israel left Egypt, God made many promises to them. He sent them to a place referred to as the “promised land.” It was a place where all the promises He made would come to pass. As they walked with God, He proved His faithfulness to them. There was not one promise that failed. Because Jesus is Lord of all, we can trust Him to keep His word. Throughout the life of Israel, they were able to say that they served a faithful God. He caused all His words to come to pass. He will never fail us either. What has He told you He would do for you? Keep your faith in Him. It will come to pass.
If you are in need of healing, there is good news! Proverbs 4:20-22 SAYS:
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
So there is life and health in God’s word. Since God’s word is medicine, we must take it like we would a prescription. I suggest three times a day, like you would your food. Remember, healing is the children’s bread. Consider this your “dose” for today. Remember, read, and meditate three times a day the following:
Rx: Matthew 8:1-3 ~ When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”
Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
“Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
2 Timothy 2:15

TUESDAY
So David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?”
And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.”
1 Samuel 30:8
Jesus is Lord of the full recovery. He is in charge of the lost and found. Where can we go to escape Him? Can anybody do anything without His knowledge? Of course not. All things are naked and open to Him. He’s the one who counts, anyway. We may be able to hide things from man, but God sees everything. This is a blessing for us, because He can reveal the whereabouts of hidden things to us. This passage of scripture tells God’s instructions to David as he is deciding to go after the men who have raided his camp and stolen his goods, plus wives and children. God assures David that he can pursue these men, because he will defeat and overtake them, and recover all. God knows how to keep our possessions intact until we recover them. He is Lord of the full recovery.
WEDNESDAY
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
Romans 8:32
Jesus is Lord of provision of all things. He gives them to us freely. God’s reluctance to give lies in his disapproval of the condition of our hearts. When we are sinners and apart from God, we have no covenant of blessing from Him, but the Bible says He is good to the just and the unjust. Now that we have accepted forgiveness of our sins and new life in Him, the Bible says He will freely give us all things. This is a wonderful assurance that we have – that all things will work out for us who are in Christ. We can live our lives without fear or doubting His goodness because He is good, and He has all goods in His possession. We need to learn His ways and walk in obedience to Him in order for this promise to be ours.
THURSDAY
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Jesus is the God of all comfort. Years ago I worked as a nurse. There are many facets to the profession of nursing, but most people saw nurses as helpers and comforters. Believe me, I’ve given my share of injections, done paperwork, passed instruments in surgery, and taught nurses in the classroom, but the overall picture most people had of me when I put on that white uniform was that I would bring comfort or at least understanding of their discomfort. There were many times, however, when I was unable to comfort them. Some pain was hard to manage, some situations hopeless, some illnesses were terminal. In those times, it is especially good to know that Jesus is the God of all comfort. When man is unable to comfort you, He can. To comfort also means to encourage. Jesus is the God of all hope, also. He has the ability to know how, when and with what measure to give comfort, and His comfort lasts.
FRIDAY
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.
Psalm 34:17
Jesus is Lord of all deliverance. He is anointed to destroy every yoke that binds us. Paul and Silas experienced this when they were imprisoned. Jesus is our present help in trouble. Paul was bound because he cast a spirit of divination out of a girl who was following him. He used his spiritual authority. Many times we will be persecuted when we use our spiritual authority, also. When her bosses saw that she could no longer help them with her witchcraft, they accused Paul and Silas of teaching things contrary to Caesar’s law. This landed them in prison. Paul and Silas prayed and began to praise God. God sent a mighty earthquake and freed all the prisoners. This was His plan from the beginning… to see the captives free. He saves to the uttermost because He is the God of all deliverance.
