There is a “thing to do” at all times. Wisdom tells us the appropriate thing to do in each block of time given to accomplish that thing. We refer to that time as a season. Because activities change with each season, plans and vision must change as well. God’s Word tells us that, for every purpose under heaven, there is a time and a season.
The children of Issachar were described as wise because they knew times and seasons, and what God’s people should do. (1 Chronicles 12:32). We need that wisdom to abide in us today.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. (Colossians 3:16).
