Have You Disturbed Your City?
SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 2:3
The wise men have just paid King Herod a visit seeking direction to the young baby who is King of the Jews. It says when Herod heard this news he was greatly disturbed and all Jerusalem with him. A little child disturbed a whole city!
Why?
Could it be that this life would be so significant that it would change every human being who ever hears about Him? Could it be that His Kingdom would challenge, even overthrow Herod’s?
Yes and yes.
Jesus, the Messiah would do all that and more; and you will too. Determine in your heart to preach the gospel wherever you are. The princes of this world trembled then because of God’s Kingdom coming to bear in Jerusalem. They’re trembling now.
