MONDAY’S MEDITATION
You Carry the Branch While Others Poison the Water
SCRIPTURE: EXODUS 15:22-26
The children of Israel are very thirsty. They finally reach a pool of water at Marah. Guess what? It’s poison. Too bitter to drink. Guess why? They’ve been complaining the whole way there. Your tongue guides your life.
When you find people in messy situations, their words have usually gotten them there. Moses went to God who showed him a branch from a tree and when he threw it ito the water, it was sweet and drinkable… crystal clear.
That branch symbolized Jesus the Branch and His death on the cross to heal our bitter tongues. Remember that when you’re around negative, bitter people. You are a branch from the True Vine. Your words have healing power.
Speak what God gives you to say and watch the situation turn around. Sweet!
