“Girl, Don’t Make Me Come Get You…”

WEDNESDAY’S WISDOM

“Girl, Don’t Make Me Come Get You…”

SCRIPTURE: HEBREWS 7:25

That’s my mama’s voice. I can still hear it. Flashbacks, lol. When mama called, we were expected to answer and respond right away. You didn’t dare delay, or act distracted or, God forbid, ignore her. When she threatened to come get you, it was life or death… the last straw.

You were on her last nerve. It got real unpleasant after that.

God expects us to come when He calls as well. First time. If we delay, He still calls. If we’re distracted, His voice grows faint, but He still wants us to respond to Him. And get this: He doesn’t mind coming to get us. Wherever we make our beds He finds us and draws us back with cords of love. Not your mama’s kind of love, but the God kind that saves to the uttermost.
