THURSDAY’S TRUTH
And They Cried Out to God in the Battle and He Helped Them Because They Trusted in Him
SCRIPTURE: 1 CHRONICLES 5:18–22
Reuben, Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh were extremely skillful warriors. They were skilled with sword and shield, bow and arrow and were physically strong and powerful. For much of Israel’s early history they were the only tribes who took the land God promised and they took it before they crossed the Jordan river. They never believed for one moment that they weren’t able. They also pledged to help the other tribes fight to possess their land as well. The secret to their success? They cried out to God IN the battle. They did not rely on skill and courage alone. They cried out to God on the battlefield! They invited Him to their fight!
Remember that the next time the enemy threatens you with symptoms, lack or fear. Invite God unto your fight. Cry out to Him. What a difference His power will bring into your situation.
