FAITH FOR FRIDAY
If a Bird Can Do It, I Can Too
SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 7:24-25
This abandoned birds nest fell from its position between the boards that cover my deck. They don’t use it anymore. They moved to the downspout right underneath the gutter. They find the most interesting places to build: sheltered from rain and sun, too high for predators: safe and secure. They have survival in mind.
We should also when we build our lives. How does the bird know how to build a nest of this quality? It’s mudded on the inside and hard as a rock. He listens to God guided by what we call “instinct,” which is God’s voice directing him.
We could learn from the bird. Follow the leading of God and you will build a life that lasts through every storm. The rains and wind come, but you and yours will remain strong and invincible. Keep adding to the word and strengthen yourself to withstand anything the devil throws at you. When it’s time to move on, God will let you know. Build strong by the leading of the Spirit.
