Just When You Think You Should Quit… Give It One More Push

WEDNESDAY’S WISDOM

Just When You Think You Should Quit… Give It One More Push

SCRIPTURE: GALATIANS 6:9

God promises we will reap if we don’t faint. Reaping is work. Work takes effort, focus, brain work as well as physical effort. I play a game called Spider Solitaire. All the games have a solution. Knowing this, I have decided to not give up and move to the next game. It challenges me to push beyond my limit.

Recently, I had a game that seemed impossible to solve. I was also dealing with challenges in other areas of my life. They all take faith, knowledge and new revelation from God. I closed out the game unsolved, then suddenly felt to give it one more try. My heart was not in it. It was a “just go through the motions” kind of decision. But a light bulb went off. A maneuver I hadn’t tried in my many failed attempts worked. I solved the game. Glory to God!

Often we hit a hard wall before the breakthrough. God is saying, “I’m with you. You will win. Hit that wall again.” David at Ziklag, Elijah at Carmel, the widow of Zarapeth, all found this out. That week I experienced a series of breakthroughs. God will use whatever He can to teach us spiritual lessons. Even spider 🕷 solitaire.
