THE KINGDOMS OF THIS WORLD HAVE BECOME THE KINGDOMS OF OUR GOD

A teaching by Rev. Barbara Williams, President of the Ministry of the Watchman International

Week of January 9-13, 2023

MONDAY
Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!”
Revelation 11:15

When all the Kingdoms of this world are subdued under the Lord’s feet for the final time, there will be great rejoicing in heaven. While this is a future event, the Lord has already subdued the enemies of man under His feet. The last enemy to be defeated is death, but Jesus has given us authority over all the works of the enemy. He has delegated this authority to us. Jesus said “all power in heaven and earth is given unto me.” Then He tells us as believers to go into all the world (under this authority) and preach the gospel to every creature. He then describes the signs that will follow them that believe. These signs are a direct result of the works of a believer who uses this authority.

If you are in need of healing, there is good news! Proverbs 4:20-22 SAYS:

My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

So there is life and health in God’s word. Since God’s word is medicine, we must take it like we would a prescription. I suggest three times a day, like you would your food. Remember, healing is the children’s bread. Consider this your “dose” for today. Remember, read, and meditate three times a day the following:

Rx: Psalm 41:1-3 ~ Blessed is the one who considers the poor! In the day of trouble the Lord delivers him; the Lord protects him and keeps him alive; he is called blessed in the land; you do not give him up to the will of his enemies. The Lord sustains him on his sickbed; in his illness you restore him to full health.

“Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
2 Timothy 2:15

TUESDAY
And the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying: “We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and who is to come, because You have taken Your great power and reigned. The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, and those who fear Your name, small and great, and should destroy those who destroy the earth.”
Revelation 11:16-18

This is good news. Are you like the four and twenty elders who sit on the throne? Are you falling on your face and worshipping this Almighty God, the One who was and is and is to come? Why would these elders, who sit before the throne of God, who have been granted this exalted position, relinquish their positions and fall down and worship God?

Whenever God’s power is demonstrated, there is great light. This light is the life of men. This life of God brings great conviction to those who are not like Him, and causes the reverential awe that we call worship.

Sometimes we become familiar with this phenomenon in a purely carnal sense. We’ve all had the opportunity to meet someone that we admire. We find ourselves feeling rather small in the presence of such a person. Well, imagine the revelation that comes when we are in the presence of holiness and purity. Bow down and worship the mighty God today. Worship Him because He has all power.

WEDNESDAY
And the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying: “We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and who is to come, because You have taken Your great power and reigned. The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, and those who fear Your name, small and great, and should destroy those who destroy the earth.”
Revelation 11:16-18

The elders are thanking God for His mighty power. They are thanking Him for using His mighty power on their behalf. Has God done anything for you to demonstrate His mighty power? Think about it. Has He changed your work situation? Has He promoted you? Has He vindicated you before your persecutors? Has He given you favor with creditors and those in power? Then you have reason to worship Him and fall down before Him. You have reason to give Him thanks. Thank Him because He reigns supreme in your life. Worship the mighty God.

THURSDAY
And the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying: “We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and who is to come, because You have taken Your great power and reigned. The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, and those who fear Your name, small and great, and should destroy those who destroy the earth.”
Revelation 11:16-18

The time of judgment of God separates people according to their works. God will judge all men according to their works. Men who carry destruction will be destroyed. Those who fear the Lord, God will reward. God’s spirit judges the deeds of men in different times and different seasons. He tells the saints not to become weary in well doing because in due season they will reap if they faint not. You will receive houses, lands, and family in this life and eternal life in the end if you choose to forsake those things for the love of the Almighty God.

FRIDAY
Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.
Revelation 11:19

Worship opens the temple of God in heaven. Does that mean that God responds to this worship of ours? Yes it does. He responds with thunderings, lightnings and voices. I wonder what He is saying. Could He be sending blessings and instruction and wisdom to those who choose to worship Him? Could He be dispatching angels to those who need help if they are worshippers of God? Could He be speaking words of encouragement to those who dwell with Him in the secret place? Find out for yourself. Worship the Almighty God. The One who was and is and is to come.
