She Spent Everything She Had and Lost It All
SCRIPTURE: LUKE 8:43
God loves us so much, He will fashion our faith in line with our personality. This woman was what we might call an extremist: not in a negative way, but she seems to be the type who is in all the way or not at all. Ride or die. Giving it all she’s got. She had faith in physicians to the degree that she went broke trying their cures. She refused to give up… until she ran out of money.
Instead of giving up, when she heard about Jesus, (that He healed people for free), she gathered up her confidence and meditated with the the spirit of faith how to give faith a try. Being unclean, she knew she couldn’t get in a prayer line. She couldn’t stay at home either. She had to go to Him and take power from Him.
Already a risk taker, she thought, “what have I got to lose? If I get found out, I get found out… but what if I get my healing?” Actually, she got both. Her risk paid off.
