He Dresses Your Blessing

He Dresses Your Blessing

SCRIPTURE: 2 Kings 5

Now you know you’ve never given somebody a present without wrapping it, have you? We were both raised better than that! Well, God is the same way. He dresses our blessings. Some of His wrappings are quite unique. Some are extravagant, some puzzling, but a blessing nonetheless. He wraps some in work, humility, waiting. Naaman’s blessing was wrapped in muddy water; David’s was wrapped in life as a fugitive with a bounty on his head for over a decade. Mother Theresa was one of the most admired and honored women of our lifetime. Her blessing was wrapped in the person of dying humanity left on the streets of one of the poorest cities in the world, Calcutta, India. She opened each package with the love and care that God had always shown her. She would tell you she touched Jesus when she ministered to the poor. It was her great honor. We all are blessed of God and want to be blessed even more, but are you willing to look beyond the wrapping? Are you willing to allow God to really bless you? Shalom.
