The Love Support System
SCRIPTURE: Psalm 94:18
When my foot slipped, your unfailing love supported me. Love is a safety net. It never fails to undergird and support us even in our worst times. Peter was good at professing his love for Jesus. When Jesus told the disciples that they would all leave Him alone as He faced crucifixion, Peter protested vehemently. As it turns out, Jesus was right. Peter did deny Him three times before daybreak. Heartbroken, Peter remembered Jesus words. Could he ever be forgiven? When Jesus rose from the grave, He exhorted Mary to tell His disciples He was alive. He even mentioned Peter by name. Yes His unfailing love holds Peter up and he goes on the fulfill his ministry. God upholds is even when we deny Him. That’s the love that never fails.
