THOUGHT FOR TUESDAY
And the Fame of Him Went Everywhere!
SCRIPTURE: LUKE 4:36-37
Wow! Jesus got famous overnight, it seems. How did that happen? He cast out one devil. Aw, Barb, you mean? Yes, I mean. In the church. You can read it for yourself.
Apparently people didn’t think it remarkable that there was a devil in somebody in the church, but for someone to cast one out… you got famous in one day.
The sons of Sceva tried it and got beaten badly. The demons didn’t recognize them as having authority. They just tried to imitate something they heard of. It takes the anointing and power to cast out a devil. This power must come legitimately and it is available to all believers.
Start today to seek to be anointed with the real thing. God gives freely to all who will pay the price.
