Just Because It Hasn’t Happened Doesn’t Mean It Won’t Happen

WEDNESDAY’S WISDOM

Just Because It Hasn’t Happened Doesn’t Mean It Won’t Happen

SCRIPTURE: ROMANS 4

Abraham has walked with God almost 25 years believing for a promised son. Impatience and misunderstanding led Abram to father a child by his wife’s maid, a common practice in that time. But God does not ordain what is common. It doesn’t take supernatural faith to produce on that level.

God’s purpose is to bring supernatural faith into the earth and He must use somebody to do it. So he waits until Abraham is past age to conceive with his wife Sarah who has always been barren. God will sometimes strip us of all natural ability to force faith out of us. When they are fully persuaded that God alone can do this, he and Sarah conceive Isaac. Don’t laugh. It could happen to you.

When you’re desperate, down for the count, out of options, guess what? Faith will suddenly emerge and carry you to victory.
