THOUGHT FOR TUESDAY
This Word Is Not Idle
SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 12:36
We will give an account for our words. God does, you know, so He holds us to the same standard. Idle words can run the spectrum from lies, gossip, deceit, boasting. These words have no eternal value so God doesn’t want us using our efforts in this way.
We are created to bring life, love, health. We are to release the kingdom of God with our words. His word is anything but idle. It is alive, powerful, discerning and able to separate the evil from the good. We have a choice: choose and speak life. His word is Life. It accomplishes much when believed.
I choose not to speak idle words. I’m too busy releasing life!
