THOUGHT FOR TUESDAY
You Must Say Yes
SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 4:22
Jesus calls twelve men to follow Him. Where? Wherever. This is the biblical standard. From the call of Abram we see God requiring one thing of His followers… we must say “yes” immediately.
I wonder if many of us understand how we limit God’s access to our lives and our access to His grace by withholding submission to His will. These disciples left everything and followed Jesus. They understood very little about this kingdom He preached but followed Him daily anyway by faith. He called some who wanted to wait for various reasons: death in the family, too much money. These reasons were unacceptable to Jesus.
We must value the One who calls us. When we do, we attain a grace and favor from God that cannot be obtained any other way. Yes is a highly anointed word.
