You Don’t Need to Quit… You Need Understanding
SCRIPTURE: PROVERBS 15:14
Actually wisdom and understanding and knowledge are related to one another. Often in our pursuit of God’s promises we seem to hit a wall. No forward progress, no miracles. We don’t even seem close to our answer. That quit mentality shows up: “you might as well quit… I told you God wasn’t going to give that to you. “ This is the point where we need to take a little praise break, pray in tongues and petition God for more of Him. We have gone as far as we could on the faith and knowledge we have, but this is not the time to quit! This is the time to dig down deep. We need something we haven’t experienced before. We need understanding. We need a Holy Ghost revelation of our next step, because there’s always a next step. In praying for my late husband’s salvation I quit many times, (smh) each time, God would give me another scripture, or one of the saints would say just what I needed to hear. My understanding grew and finally I accepted that salvation belongs to the Lord and that my husband was sanctified by my salvation. I couldn’t quit. This is a won war. All I had to do was stand fast and see the salvation of the Lord. And God didn’t disappoint me. My husband became a worshipper and a lover of the word. Quitters never see the fruit of their prayers. The wise do.
