You’ve Been Robbed!
SCRIPTURE: 2 PETER 1:3
Satan’s plan is to keep us in bondage, controlling us with lies and deception. He told Eve that if she disobeyed God she would be like God. She was already like God… He made her in His image. Listening to the devil caused her to lose contact with the truth and put her faith in a lie. She and Adam lost everything that pertained to life and godliness. There’s never anything to gain in trusting a lie. At some point the truth will expose and dispel it. Jesus would later come and preach truth. One truth is that God has already given us all things pertaining to life and godliness. Already given. Let that sink in. So why do we doubt His provision, His love, and our ability to believe Him and serve Him?
There is no reason. What we are dealing with is our need to shake off the lies the devil has told us and embrace the truth that all we need is already ours. We need to receive it. Does that idea frighten you?
Join the club. To your old man, sickness is normal, poverty, loneliness, fear, and weakness are normal. But God calls us rich, well, righteous, joyful and whole. Which do you believe Beloved?
You can make the choice Eve failed to make. You can choose to believe God and partake of all things that pertain to life and godliness. Shalom.
