“I Thought We Were Just Wishing We Could Leave Egypt. You Mean, We’re Actually Gonna Go?”
SCRIPTURE: EXODUS 14
LOL Does that sound familiar? When you’re just dreaming about a blessing, everything in your dream is perfect. Favor, respect, lots of everything. You even get a promotion to an easy job. But in reality it’s quite different. Israel felt the same way. They wanted rid of the yoke of slavery, but now that they are in the midst of their deliverance, they’re having second thoughts.
But God has a plan to help them carry out His best will for them. It’s called “Pharaoh chasing me, the Red Sea in front of me.”
Ever been there? Between a rock and a hard place? Did you ever stop to think that God planned it that way? He did, you know. Your promotion comes because you got fired. An eviction notice forces you to finally buy a house. Not pretty, but you get to the next level.
God knows how to get us where He wants us to be. And when you get there, you’ll say to yourself, “Nobody but God could have done this.” Glory!
