“We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.”
2 Corinthians 4:8-11
Don’t be ashamed of troubles because they are only temporary. Things happen… but God always makes a way of escape.
In his letter to the church of Corinth, Paul talks about being troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair. He’s just stating the facts, but he’s not confessing it because although he faces opposition, Paul is still in faith!
Faith doesn’t deny what’s real-but it speaks what God has already said about your situation. The truth of God’s word will set us free. We must take our troubles to the Lord and trust that He will deliver us.
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”
Psalm 34:19
Stay in faith saints, and never give up on God. Our LIGHT afflictions are but for a MOMENT; We must stop acting as though they are for a lifetime.
“For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.”
2 Corinthians 4:17-18
