WEDNESDAY’S WISDOM
You Are Not Alone, the Father Is With You
SCRIPTURE: JOHN 16:33
Jesus uttered these words to His disciples the night of His betrayal. He said that they would all leave Him alone, but that He would not be alone because The Father would be with Him. He told them this to give them peace.
I don’t know about you, but my natural father always helped me when I really needed help. He had a drinking problem for most of my teen and young adult years, but it didn’t prevent him from being a calming force in my life. The times that I needed strength as an adult, I would call him and he encouraged me. He told me not to give up, things would get better when I had a nervous breakdown. He was right. God brought me back to health.
When my husband passed away eighteen years ago, my Heavenly Father made Himself more real to me. He taught me that I was not alone, just by myself. There’s a difference. Do you notice Him? Are you aware of His calming presence in your midst? Do you share your heart with Him? You should because He shares His heart with us.
Don’t accept loneliness as your portion, beloved. It’s not true.
His peace assures you that you are not alone.
